A “rare as hens teeth” property has hit the Darwin market in a highly sought after acreage suburb close to the city.

Selling agent Daniel Harris said the four-bedroom home at 29 Kerr Ct, Knuckey Lagoon, was the only new property to come to market in the exclusive enclave in more than a decade, making it as “rare as hens teeth”.

“This stunning freshly-built package combines rural charm with modern convenience, making it a highly unique find in today’s market,” he said.

The home is on a fully-fenced 2ha block with huge shed, town, bore and rain water, NBN and three phase power.

The modern farmhouse-style home and massive 13m x 15m shed were built in 2023.

The house has a light and bright open plan living, dining and kitchen space opening to a huge veranda.

The kitchen has a butler’s pantry, island bench with breakfast bar and sleek white cabinetry.

There is also a dining nook with built-in seating.

The main bedroom has built-in robes, kitchenette area and a luxurious ensuite, while two of the other bedrooms have built-in robes and desks as well as easy access to the family bathroom.

The fourth bedroom is off the main bedroom.

The shed is high clearance and fully insulated and has a bathroom, a mezzanine level with two airconditioned rooms, and a separate storage loft.

There is also carport with room for three vehicles.

The home and shed are set privately back from the road on the mostly cleared block.

Mr Harris said properties in Knuckey Lagoon were some of the most coveted residential acreage in the Territory, sitting 15 minutes from the Darwin CBD.

“ (Knuckey Lagoon is the) ultimate best of both worlds location in greater Darwin,” he said.

“Families will enjoy the ease of access to a number of nearby schools including the highly regarded Haileybury Rendall School.

There is plenty of outdoor space for entertaining. Picture: Supplied

“This property is also close to major shopping precincts and all motor arterials for quick and easy trips to the airport, Palmerston, Casuarina shopping centre and Gateway shopping centre.

“With Berrimah’s residential development set to explode over the next 10 years, it’s fair to say 5 acres in nearby Knuckey Lagoon is the definition of blue chip real estate that has future capital growth written all over it.”
