Home offers that spell major savings for savvy NSW buyers

From luxury Sydney apartments to NSW house and land packages, these offers are a major help for buyers seeking property in Australia’s most expensive state.

Housing affordability continues to be a significant issue affecting Australians in 2024, but according to recent Australian Bureau of Statistics data, the tide is slowly turning as confidence builds.

“It has been a year since the RBA last raised interest rates,” said Housing Industry Association (HIA) economist, Maurice Tapang.

“Unchanged cash rate settings, supported by strong population growth, low unemployment levels and acute housing shortages, have helped lift consumer sentiment.”

Developers and builders are keenly aware that it’s been a tough climate – and some have crafted offers to remove common barriers and support prospective homeowners to take the leap.

What exactly does that mean for buyers? Attractive bonuses and incentives.

Aura by Aqualand, North Sydney: 10th Birthday Celebration

To celebrate its 10th birthday, leading Australian integrated property development group Aqualand is rewarding purchasers of its $1 billion mixed-use North Sydney tower, Aura, with 10 offers – valued in excess of $10 million.

Available to those who purchase and exchange contracts on any Aura residence between 1 and 30 November 2024, the excellent financial, luxury and lifestyle incentives span everything from a stamp duty rebate to strata levy cover for three years.

Benefit from finance, lifestyle and luxury options to create a package that supports your direct needs, such as a free interior design and furniture package, or have Aqualand pay 3% of your mortgage interest rate. Picture: Aura by Aqualand

Buyers will have their pick from a range of generous offers:

  • 2.5% deposit on exchange
  • Stamp duty rebate
  • 3% mortgage interest rate cover for up to two years
  • 5% rental guarantee for two years
  • Strata levy cover for three years
  • Assistance with selling costs on existing property
  • Generous Etymon hospitality dining voucher
  • Premium six-star ‘Black Key’ Etymon Concierge service for three years
  • Free interior design and furniture package
  • Complimentary white glove relocation service

“This never-before-seen opportunity is designed to remove common purchasing barriers, or to make securing their new home in Aura easier,” said Aqualand’s Head of Sales & Marketing, Alex Adams.

“Some may wish to have us pay 3% of their mortgage interest rate, or reduce their deposit on exchange, or others may elect to elevate their new luxury lifestyle even more with amazing dining vouchers at our world-class Etymon venues or take advantage of our incredible Black Key concierge service.”

Located on Walker St and adjacent to the new Victoria Cross Metro station, recently completed Aura is a landmark North Sydney precinct comprising 386 units with prices ranging from $1.1 million to $8 million.

The luxury towers recently made headlines for setting a new sales record. Within days of the Sydney Metro opening in August, Aqualand sold $40 million worth of luxury units across all dwelling types – one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residences.

Throughout August, Aura secured $70 million in sales – but the $40 million figure broke the north shore record for the highest sales revenue in one week.

Aqualand has also had success with their recently sold-out Blue at Lavender Bay and The Revy at Darling Island projects.

Domaine Homes: Big House & Land Sale

Domaine Homes‘ biggest sale of the year has kicked off, giving prospective buyers a chance to nab a solid saving on a selection of house and land packages.

Buyers can save an impressive $50,000 off select house and land packages across various NSW communities, such as the Hunter region, Greater Sydney and the South and Central Coasts.

The saving is made up of a current $35,000 off promotion, with Domaine homes partnering with 20 land developers around NSW to offer a further $15,000 discount – the split absorbed 50/50 between the developers and Domaine Homes.

Project homes are the most popular choice for Aussie residential builds. The project home model means affordable pricing and efficient timelines, while still giving you the freedom to make customisations.

Metricon Homes: ReadyStart

ReadyStart by Metricon Homes – Australia’s biggest home builder nine years running – gives you access to some of the most popular Metricon designs at prices you wouldn’t normally see.

Available until December 15 2024 at Bingara Gorge in southwest Sydney, the offer passes on extra savings of up to $158,000 to buyers, with an impressive 26-week timeline to keys in your hand.

Metricon has been building homes for over 45 years, with many designs having won awards. The ReadyStart packages also offer the flexibility of personalising these designs under the guidance of their interior design consultants. Picture: Metricon Homes

Metricon have leveraged their relationships with developers to directly negotiate exceptional prices on land, and reduced internal costs by preparing the contracts upfront. Both savings are then passed directly on to new home buyers.

The builder describes ReadyStart as selling a block of residential land with the plans and permits already done. You sign the contract, pay the deposit, choose your preferred colour scheme and then it’s off to the races.

You’ll have access to Metricon’s most popular (and award-winning) home designs – all expertly matched to the land. Each package ensures the home’s size, shape, and orientation are perfect for maximising natural light and making the most of your surroundings.

Bingara Gorge is one of Sydney southwest’s most active communities. Surrounded by nature and green open spaces, the community was established over a decade ago, and now has over 1000 homes, plus schools, childcare facilities, cafes, restaurants, and everyday conveniences with more to come. • Deposit to keys in just 26 weeks
  • Fixed price, turn key packages
  • Savings up to $158,000
